Easily recognizable by his impassioned Johnny Cash-meets-Charlie Feathers vocals, the France-native Don Cavalli began to get notice in the greater music and blog community when he released his full-length Cryland (2007), which featured his amalgamation of swamp blues, lo-fi pop, country gospel, and early rock & roll. His new studio album Temperamental stays on the blues track while dismantling the traditional codes of the field. Indeed, thanks to an old fashioned sound-take and a contemporary production, Don Cavalli makes his new album sound old but incredibly modern.
