Brand new reissue of Six Finger Satellite’s debut full-length, The Pigeon Is the Most Popular Bird, out on June 30. We’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of this Sub Pop classic with a remastered CD and limited Loser Edition red and blue double LP, all with refreshed art. Pitchfork called The Pigeon Is the Most Popular Bird, “one of the best noise-rock records of the 90s”. The album pulls on influences from Gang of Four, The Birthday Party and Wire, along with their own in studio experiments and keyboards, all before LCD Soundsystem, DFA and the post punk revival of the early aughts. 6FS originally released this album as two separate 12″s, one titled Savant Edition and the other, Idiot Edition, this is the first time both sides of the album are being released together.
