Rich, imaginative lyrics wrapped in a skillful mix of blues, psychedelic, rock and folk, this is the ultimate statement from Ventura writer/musician Jeff Grimes. From the guitar-mauling assault against hypocrisy and abuse of power of “No Compassion,” to the gospel-like choir of “Holy Life,” to the graceful country feel and mystical lyrics of Crossings, to the not-quite-a-surf instrumental “Four Foot and Glassy,” More Than Memory is consistently diverse and thoroughly sublime. Features backing by members of Tall Tales & the Silver Lining, Little Wings, and Neal Casal (Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Ryan Adams). Stoughton gatefold jacket with download code. 500 pressed.
