Sonic gems like “You’re Mine” & “Late In The Evening” show Anderson expressing his unique voice as a writer while also paying fuzzed-out homage to the understated blues rock licks of The Faces, T-Rex, and Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac. The buoyant and catchy “Stir Crazy” finds him grooving in the vein of early ’80s ZZ Top, while the slow smouldering “Brighter Days” suggests a hip remodelling of a classic Curtis Mayfield, Al Green-styled ballad. Not to mention the feel-good rock and roll track “So Alive”– featured in Rolling Stone’s (Australia) album review–which encapsulates rock & roll, soul & modern blues. “ELECTRIC” also finds Hamish sharing production duties with David Davis (The War On Drugs, Miguel). “ELECTRIC” is a testament to Anderson’s unwavering dedication to his craft and his love affair with the electric guitar.
