The fourth side is an etching by Savage Pencil. Repressed after ten years, but at a significantly higher list price. In the period immediately following the release and promotion of his first three albums (I See A Darkness, Ease Down the Road, Master and Everyone), the Bonny ‘Prince’ repaired to Nashville to look forward into his past, singing anew fifteen tracks from his previous incarnation in Palace Brothers/Songs/Music (circa 1992-1995). The Greatest Palace band was a once in a lifetime assembly: studio cats Eddie Bayers, Stuart Duncan, Mark Fain, Mike Johnson and Hargus Robbins, aided and abetted by Andrew Bird, Dave Bird, Jack Carneal. Tony Crow, D.V. DeVincentis, Duane Denison, Colin Gagon, Ned Oldham, Paul Oldham, Aram Stith, Matt Sweeney, and William Tyler, and featuring the voices of Todd Brashear, Mary Feiock, Cynthia Hopkins, Ann McCrary, Iris Nevers, Lily Nevers, Sue Schofield, Marty Slayton, San Stancil, Suzanne Young, all and sundry and David Berman.
