‘Let It Burn’ is a firework of a rock album with which BONSAI KITTEN are coming back loud in 2024! Do they want to burn everything down now? Not everything, but certainly the bridges to everything you think you know about this band from previous releases. Because the flames that the band ignite here brightly illuminate the path they took last time. Passionate and impetuous, the band around frontwoman Tiger Lilly Marleen dashes through the entire work with musical variety and virtuosity from metal to blues, reminiscent of rock classics from the 70s as well as the 80s with flowing transitions. Musically, the band’s style has developed over the years from punk-A-billy to punk rock to metal with prog and blues influences. Singer Marleen has reorganized her band with metal drummer Marc “Reign” Reinke (ex-Destruction) and blues rock guitarist Andr “Wally” Wahlhuser. Together with Marcus “Spoxx” Schutze on 3-string bass, BONSAI KITTEN have now taken their trend-setting predecessor LOVE AND LET DIE (2020) one step further with LET IT BURN (2024)! pre-album single “I Wonder” already rocks! Rarely is an album produced with such handmade attention to detail as guitarist Wally has achieved here. The 10 songs shine with heat and dynamism and also shed a lyrical light on holding on to what you burn for. Just LET IT BURN!
