Gram Rabbit – Miracles & Metaphors

Fourth full-length by the Joshua Tree-based quartet who mix disco-pop, off-kilter country, and psychedelic rock. Hailed as best new LA band in 2005 at the LA Weekly Music Awards, their fanbase is sometimes referred to as a self-styled “cult” called “The Royal Order of Rabbits”. Watch for west coast dates starting with an appearance on KCRW’s “Mornings Become Eclectic” on July 21st. The track “Off With Your Head” was featured on the CW show “Life Unexpected” which aired 10/05/2010 (with identifying ad card at the end) and a remake of “Candy Flip” will be the music for a six month Kyocera/Android TV campaign commencing later in October! As well, a track off the “Music To Start A Cult To” album will appear in a Warner Bros Steve Carell movie next spring! USA Today on 10/19 said “If there’s any justice in the sandscape, CANDY FLIP will propel this Joshua Tree, CA quartet the way ROCK LOBSTER did the B-52S, their ancestors in witty, whacked-out dance ditties”.
