Bittersweet is all about the songs instead of the genre. You’ll find an Irish ballad and an Irish Rock tune, an acapella Gospel creation, a straight up country song plus more folk, blues, roots and rock that Kelly’s Lot is known for. There’s even an electronic song that somehow still fits in this goulash of songs. These are all originals with a few inspired by Kelly’s ‘Facebook Word Challenge’ where she asks her fans for a word and then writes a song within 2 hours. Words like Thorn, Home and Happy helped to create new compositions for the band to play and share.
