SMUG LLC – NEW EXCITING DOOM

Smug LLC is a new project from Drew Thomson, a Canadian ex-gold prospector turned musician known for past and present bands Single Mothers and The Drew Thomson Foundation. The band is entirely self-produced and recorded at home, in a small corner of a one-bedroom apartment outside Toronto, ON. The ablum was mixed and mastered by Vince Soliveri whose credits include bands like The Dirty Nil, Respire, Mall Crimes, Terminator and many others. The debut EP “New Exciting Doom” is about looking out the window and into the streets but also catching your reflection in the glass. Can things get worse? Can they get better? Is it all perspective? Is this a new doom, or has it always been here, around the corner waiting to swallow us all whole?
