Tausend Augen – Schock

Taking the off-kilter motorik side of krautrock as a starting point and infusing it with noise, experimental rock, psychedelia and electronic sounds to create a mixture that is as steeped in its influences as it is pointing to the future. Play less and straight, reduce to break loose, minimize to maximize, change through repetition, don’t take the first exit – keep going. Schock: at the breaking point from electronic to electro and electric, the rhythm goes on and on from the Westend into the shadowland of the Anthropocene: Schock. Schock: the next step on the staircase up, down and to the other side into the mirror world. Schock: what comes after the end of reality? The universe as a comic, future music from the nightmare factory, a spy mirror into the next world: Schock. After the first album Westend, Schock is more consistent, more reduced, more electronic. Analog synthesizers meet post-punk guitars and motorik beats, vocoder voices appear and disappear between noise and melody, the soundtrack to another present.
