It isn’t surprising to hear a song titled “Majik Mtn.” from Thee Rain Cats considering the rock quartet is based in the outskirts of Disneyland. What’s intriguing is thatA Caleb Palomo,A Miguel Gomez,A Nelson Rodriguez andA Patrick Palomo have coined their sound as “technicolor rock.” Now the act where bands come up with a new name for its sound isn’t new; musicians do it all the time to be easily remembered. However, it seems that Thee Rain Cats have aptly described their sound with this term. A little bit of psychedelia infused with a bit of electro-pop and a foundation of rock seems to work for these guys, and others have noticed their rainbow-tinted soundscape too.
