Thelonious Dub – Master Plan B

Second release by the Glendale, CA, based group who play MANY MANY shows around SoCal each month. This release is being added to jazz specialty radio across the country! They perform original compositions as well as instrumental versions of tunes by Monk, Gillespie, Davis, Shorter, Mingus and more (live shows include covers of Radiohead, The Police etc), all interwoven with New Orleans and reggae dub influences. Modeled after the “Modern Lounge” sound, T-Dub draws from groups like Weather Report, Bill Frisell, John Scofield, Massive Attack, Thievery Corp., and Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare. Their sound encompasses electric sitar, synthesizers, and effects.
