ACROSS THE BORDER – FOLKPUNK AIR-RAID

Right in time for the band’s 20th anniversary and three years after the reunion album “Loyalty”, Across the Border release their new album. “Folkpunk Airraid” dares to step back to the beginnings of the band: more classical folk and less punkrock with some more acoustic influences. So arise wonderful folk-punk anthems, that do not forget where they come from and never seem to be too soft. Catchy and danceable still having outbreaks in the direction of classic punk rock with electric guitars and sing-a-longs. In 2011 Across the Border are versed in playing their instruments, integrating a half-dozen guest musicians with mandolin, flute, violin and trombone, have two guest-vocalists and a lot of great new songs. 17 songs with almost 50 minutes playing-time, including the magnificent Rio Reiser / Ton Steine Scherben-cover “Übers Meer”. Hit after hit, without any fillers.
