The first official publication of unreleased recording sessions dating back to 89-90. The record presents a singular brew of 60’s inspired sounds, where Garage and Beat meet Spy Movie Soundtracks. Amor Indio were the darlings of the late 80’s underground in Buenos Aires, a scene where the freaks mingled with the fashionistas in hedonist parties. This release includes a poster and liner notes with pictures, written in English and Spanish, revealing the story of Argentina’s best kept secret. Fully licensed and developed in conjunction with the band. Trailblazers don’t always end up harvesting the fruits of their labor. Such is the case of Amor Indio, who in the mid-to-late 80’s Argentina, ushered a new scene after their wake: a new sound that occupied a blurry space situated after Punk Rock, but before Indie or Alternative Rock became codified and established. Steeped in 60’s signifiers, psychedelic clothes and electric organ combos, Amor Indio and their contemporaries were not looking to mimic that particular decade, but rather trying to re-imagine it. Despite the hype, fan adoration and even some unlikely brushes with Argentinian rock royalty, the band faded away as the new decade dawned, leaving virtually no commercial releases. Today, their unreleased studio sessions see the light of day for the first time after more than 30 years. Amor Indio fueron los consentidos del underground argentino de los 80’s, una escena donde los freaks se entremezclaban con los hipsters en fiestas llenas de hedonismo. Este lanzamiento incluye un poster y liner notes con fotografías. Escrito en inglés y castellano, revelan la historia del secreto mejor guardado de Argentina. Licenciado y trabajado completamente con el artista. Las bandas que abren trecho no siempre son las que recogen los frutos de su trabajo. Tal es el caso de Amor Indio, quienes entre mediados y finales de los 80’s en Argentina, pavimentaron el camino para que surgiera una nueva escena siguiendo sus pasos: un sonido que ocupó un área gris entre el Punk y Post-Punk, y lo que eventualmente se llegaría a codificar como Rock Alternativo. Sumergidos en estética 60’s, ropa psicodélica y órganos eléctricos, Amor Indio y sus contemporáneos no buscaban imitar esa década en particular, si no más bien re-imaginarla. A pesar del entusiasmo que suscitaban, el séquito de fans que los seguían e incluso algunos roces con la realeza del Rock argentino de la época, la banda se desvaneció a la vuelta de la década de los 90’s, sin dejar rastro. Hoy, sus sesiones inéditas de estudio ven la luz por primera vez en más de 30 años.
