ATALA – LABYRINTH OF ASHMEDAI

The wait for Atala’s upcoming album is coming to an end. “Labyrinth of Ashmedai” will be in stores January 26th via Salt of the Earth Records. The heavy Southern California trio has garnered massive attention and momentum due to their announcements on the Salt of the Earth roster and the 2017 Roadburn Festival. The band has had the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as Pallbearer, Baroness, Chelsea Wolfe, The Obsessed, Coven, 16, Coliseum, Green Jelly and many more. This is the band’s third album. Stylistically, The Obelisk says the band’s new material is “among their most aggressive and lumbering works to date. On the other hand,”completely catchy, doomy desert rock” is how Pure Grain Audio describes Atala. “Labyrinth of Ashmedai” features the band’s hit ‘Death’s Dark Tomb.’ Loudwire deems that it moves the listener “from hazy, suspended riffs to undulating waves of paranoia.”
