Cat Power’s 9th album, her first in 6 years since 2006’s critically acclaimed “The Greatest,” has finally been completed after her recent break up with long-time boyfriend Giovanni Rabisi. Entirely written, recorded, played and produced by Chan Marshall in various studios including her home studio she built in Malibu. In addition to the lead single “Ruin,” the album is highlighted by the New York City homage “Manhattan” and the 11-minute epic “Nothing But Time” which features Iggy Pop on backing vocals.
