Currently an octet, HANDS are an ongoing art rock experiment whose earliest incarnation – Ibis (later: Prism) – was initially brought to Frankensteinian life around the time Nixon vacated the White House, tattoos were something only sailors and carnies coveted, and bands like Yes and Jethro Tull were filling arena-sized venues. HANDS continues to garner worldwide attention with positive reviews and a loyal fan base, and as always are in the process of creating what they hope is an aurally pleasing as well as intellectually challenging and relevant new work. Five years in the making – employing over sixty different instruments (from Warr guitar to contrabass flute) – this latest 73 minute effort from HANDS the octoband is sure to please even those hardcore audiophiles striving for total heaviosity as well as jazzier rockers, prog poppers and classical leaning sensitives.
