Re-release of the first, long time sold out Across the Border album from 1994 with new artwork and one exclusive bonus track. “Hag Songs” was the great opening for Across the Border: a danceable, wild mixture of classic folk and punkrock. Think of the Pogues and the Levellers teaming up with fast guitar songs and political lyrics far beyond any irrelevance. On the recording of “Hag Songs” Across the Border was a seven piece band with guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, violin and accordion. This album presents some of their all-time-hits like “Follow Your Girl (Soldier John)”, “Dance Around the Fire” and the anthem “Can’t Love This Country”. For the 15th jubilee of “Hag Songs” the album is now re-released with all original songs and one new, exclusive version of “Can’t Love This Country” featuring Chaoze One. A mixture of folk-punk and hiphop, you’ve never heard before. The CD comes with new artwork, 16 page booklet including all lyrics, photos and liner notes from the German punkrock-author Klaus N.
